LED display screen (LED display) is a kind of flat panel display, which is composed of small LED module panels, which is used to display text, image, video and other information devices. LED electronic display screen integrates microelectronic technology, computer technology and information processing, and has the advantages of bright color, wide dynamic range, high brightness, long life, stable and reliable work and so on. LED display screen is widely used in commercial media, cultural performance market, stadiums, information dissemination, news release, securities trading and so on, which can meet the needs of different environments.
LED display screen is an electronic display screen composed of LED lattice, which changes the screen display content form such as text, animation, picture and video by turning off the traffic light beads, and carries on the component display control through the modular structure. It is mainly divided into display module, control system and power supply system. The display module is the LED lamp lattice to form the screen luminous; the control system is to control the light and off in the area to convert the content of the screen display; the power supply system is to convert the input voltage and current to meet the needs of the display screen.
LED screen can realize the conversion between different forms of a variety of information presentation modes, and can be used indoors and outdoors, which has incomparable advantages over other display screens. With the characteristics of high light intensity, low power consumption, low voltage demand, compact and convenient equipment, long service life, stable impact resistance and strong resistance to external interference, it has been rapidly developed and widely used in various fields.
The display screen made by putting red and green LED chips or lamp tubes together as one pixel is called tricolor screen, while the display screen with red, green and blue LED chips or lamp tubes together as one pixel is called tricolor screen or full-color screen. If there is only one color, it is called monochrome or monochromatic screen, the pixel size of indoor LED screen is generally 1.5mm-12mm, often several kinds of LED chips that can produce different primary colors are packaged into one, and the pixel size of outdoor LED screen is mostly 6mm-41.5mm, each pixel is composed of several monochromatic LED, the common finished product is called pixel tube, and the two-color pixel tube is generally composed of 2 red and 1 green. The tricolor pixel tube is composed of 1 red, 1 green and 1 blue.
No matter using LED to make monochrome, bicolor or tricolor screen, the brightness of each LED that constitutes a pixel must be adjusted to display the image, and the fine degree of adjustment is the grayscale of the display screen. The higher the gray level, the more delicate the displayed image, the richer the color, and the more complex the corresponding display control system is. Generally 256 grayscale images, the color transition has been very soft, while 16 grayscale color images, the color transition line is very obvious. Therefore, color LED screens are currently required to be made into 256 to 4096 grayscale.
